Movie weekend

This weekend we just chilled at home. Steve went to work for a few hours today then he studied for his Tech test for next month, There is a base exercise next week so that's going to be busy and Audrey and Quinn packing for Italy. The boys have been watching "HomeAlone" and "The Shaggy Dog" today, Kylor is funny. We took naps today that was nice. We have this Winnie the Pooh toy for Quinn that walk and we were all up stairs in the room watching Quinn with it, he just looked at it...Ky and Orion loved hugging it when it said, "Hug me!" Oh the simple things really are the best. We have enjoyed our non busy weekend. Quinn yesterday transfered a rattle from one hand to the other...It was so cute! We watched Freedom Writers last night with Hilary Swank, after the boys went to sleep, that was such a good show!
We totally loved it!
We are still waiting for The series by Stephanie Meyer to get here in the mail...impatiently waiting for that!...Guess that's how it is when you live clear out here.... hahah!

How small is this island again?

When I went shopping the other day, they are combining both of our Bx's into one smaller building, I was curious to see where they moved their jewlery deparment, I just wanted to buy a pair of earring or atleast see what they had. I asked a worker as I was checking out where they put them, she said they are all gone. I asked so are they going to order more...she said nope, that's an item they will no longer be carrying. WOW! Yeah they are down sizing the BX here since (They had alot of theft in there around Christmas time, guess this is the result of that) oh well! Summer is coming soon that is one good thing to look forward too. I can't wait to hit the beach again! Lucia came and cleaned today, I love they way she folds laundry and cleans house...It's sparkling clean when she's done, if only it lasted longer than 10 mins after the kids get home. That's one thing I really love, having a spotless clean house to come home too after I'm running around kids here and there. It's friday so tommarrow will be good, a rest from school. Steve is working tommarrow for a few hours...no fun, but it's only alittle while. Audrey and Quinn leave on Wednesday that will be so much fun to be in Italy!

With Friends!
Valentines Day Hat from School

Quinn

Today!

Finished my Book!!! Yay....Today did circut training with the personal trainer at the Gym, that kicked my butt, so I'm tired for the day. The physical Therapist thinks my foot pain is being caused by Planter Facitis...I'll just give it more time and hopefully the pain will go away. Kylor counted to 100 today for the first time that I know of, with my help, while I was doing laundry that was cool! Orion had a not so good day but he had school pictures taken, I hope they turn out. Quinn now can hold a rattle and roll from his back to front...He's rounding out, he reminds us of Kylor when he was small, though he's certainly the biggest of all three of our boys at this age. He's so cute and time's just passing so fast. Kylor is learning about planets and solar system at school he also knows the different cloud formations...he's fun to talk to about those things now...I love having our daily conversation of 5 yr old talk...

Day of Love!

happy valentines day

To all our friends and family, Hope it was a happy day! It was a nice one for us, showing love is not always going to be that romantic kind of love most of us picture but it's also about helping each other out and showing love in our words, and our deeds, to both strangers and friends and family, what a difference a smile can make. The boys had a great time having Valentines parties at their schools, they had fun! Orion's was a dancing music party, if they have a reason to celebrate here they do! It's awesome. Steve and I escaped for a quite dinner that was really nice. Steve still working 13 hr days so Steve Tests for Tech end of March he's been so busy, but Monday he has off, so he can cram for his test.

Mario Died

One of our little turtles died, Mario, his shell was in poor shape since we had no access to get a calcium tablet for their water, they finally got them in today but it was too late. Mario was a cute one, Luigi is perfect though he's the crazy fast one and he's growing alot! The boys had a little funeral out back for him he's buried next to our white bird that died back in the Summer...It was a relaxing day today, I've begun reading that book that is most popular by Stephanie Meyer "Twilight" I read 3 chapter's last night, I'm borrowing it from the library here...so far so good. There is a waiting list for it at the library here...luckly I have a copy...I love reading, though I used to hate it, I've grown to really enjoy a good book.
Audrey's parent should be home from their Mission to Indonesia, in April sounds like.
We got Quinn's ssn# finally in the mail yay, we can final taxes....so exciting!!!!

Pebble Beach

Saturday Audrey went on a 7 Mile walk to pebble beach in the morning, she caught up with her friends that went right after she got done feeding Quinn.
Later-She took the family to see where this pebble beach is, it's down the road from our house a ways . It's so pretty there and the sound of oceans waves is so peaceful. Later Aud and Steve went out for a date down to the beach it sit and watch the ocean then get Bifana's a local sandwhich that are popular here...yummy~!
** Friday was fun too, we all went out together as a family and watched Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, it was fun for the kids and suprisingly they were all so well behaved....YAY love it when family outings are not stressful!!! It was so nice.

This week

Steve is exhausted and his schedule has been hard for him, (all of us) 4am to 4pm 12 plus house a day...,yesterday he was having muscel spasm's on his forhead then his chest...funny huh! The boys ask where daddy is all the time, I always say he's at work...Steve feels bad that all he does is come home and put the kids to bed, it's been kinda ruff, just cause he needs to get sleep.
Tonight was The girls Branch Outting to Praia we went out to dinner, it was nice...about 9 of us went...the food was really good. It's been rainy here and when I say rainy I mean, Rain Rain, thank goodness we still have power though, nothing like last year when we had it go out so much living off base and losing our internet. Nothing too exciting happened today...
We should find out on ALASKA OR TURKEY orders by March 15 if we are selected, we found out today that if we don't get one of those choices, another oversea's list comes out in May of where we could go..so we'll have to wait and see...we are anxious to hear what will happen....we are hoping for Alaska though...it's a 4 yr term

Happy Birthday Steve!

Steve turned 28 today...it's amazing how closer and closer to 30 we are getting. We celebrated with gifts (a new large frying pan and a book and Audrey made him Banana Cream pies, we had 2 friends come over Ant & Helen for dinner and that was so nice...They gave Steve some chocolates and a tie...they are so nice....Ok I decided to do it...I'm going to be walking a 26 mile marathon in May and tonight I walked 4 miles to start conditioning for it. I'll be doing that about 4 times a week or so then on Saturday it's more like an 8 miler...until we get closer and closer to our goal...plus I'm going Gym time...It's my year to get fit again...

Plus...Today our oversea's list came out for possibilities for us to move....looks like Alaska or Turkey if we are selected, we'll keep you posted

update.

Lately, lack of Sleep, and busy schedules have brought a little depressed feelings we've notived in our home. We had a hard night friday night with the boys at a going away dinner out in Praia, they were tired and Steve and I were tired too, nothing went right, it's was so strange and we feel like we have really been tested this weekend. With the deaths Grandma Hash, Prophet Gordon B. Hinkley, and today we found out a family member's brother was unexpectedly hit by a train (Our sister in law's 19 yr old brother) It's so sad when we have loved ones die, for we all know it's a fact of life, but it's hard none the less. He was so young and this is so shocking! Just makes me think we really must cherish each other that much more, for we never know what tommarrow brings. We had the missionaires over for dinner tonight they gave us a great mini lesson on attitude!! And how we can find the positive each day and have a great day everyday! How greatful I am that we have the Gospel and it's blessed my life and our families life more than words can express.
***more on a happy note, Kylor wanted to bare his testimony in church today, (really suprized me)this was his first time ever,he wanted me to help him so of course I did. We were so happy he wanted to do that, he's been coming out of his shell alot lately, so exciting to watch him grow.****

Note: We've also noticed that somethings get hard when the Lord wants to bless us, so hopefully we have a great blessing coming our way....stay tuned....lol
