Our weekend

Saturday we went beach hoping...We first went up to Biscoits swimming hole area, it was nice the kids liked the little cove they could swim in where the water was shallow. We bought some tomatoes and donuts from local farmers as we left...

We then went to a place called Quatro Ribeiras, it is very similar to Biscoits, but much more kid friendly. It has a pool as well as water coves, the kids had fun playing every where...They found seashells and saw lots of fish. This place is a good place to take your water shoes...those rocks can be painful. It was fun. We were gone all day long.
Sunday we had the missionaries over for dinner, our dear friend Gena came too. We had a fun dinner made of MRE's and Stir fry, the MRE's were a big hit...So we are making good use our food storage...Something that Gena and Elder Rissi (missionary from Portugal) have never experienced...The Missionaries are working with Gena again and we had a good talk about the church and watched a few church movies. It was nice...Gena gave us some fresh home grown tomatoes...yummy! We miss those since all of our tomatoes at the commisary have no flavor. One thing that Steve and I miss is having fresh corn on the cob, we are going to try and find some down town this week, it's almost August and we still have had none this summer...crazy!

Tagged game!

ok, I can't believe I'm playing this thanks Jen...(each player) must write 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to blog about their 7 things and post the rules as well. At the end of the blog, you need to choose 5 people to get tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog.

1. I love the summer
2. I hate being Pregnant, but love being a mom
3. I hate snails,slugs & moths!
4. I like eating out
5. I like going to the beach here
6. I like staying up late watching the view, dr. phil, house
7. I like David Beckham playing on the LA galaxy team it's great! Soccer is the only American sport fun to watch other than basketball sometimes....

I can't follow rules so I guess I'm still it...hehe

Growing a bit

Oh yeah! Here is a picture taken today...
I'm growing...27 weeks this Friday

Quality Time Together

Today after Steve got home we went to the beach to get out of the house. The weekends here alway are rainy so we have to take advantage of the week nights when we can. It's crazy, it's still really warm at 6pm and doesn't get dark until near 10pm. At Praia Beach the water is pretty nice, depending on how hot the weather is. The boys liked being covered in the sand. The sand here is so sticky, lava sand. Praia is getting ready for Praia Festival starting next week, it should be lots of fun.

movies

This week we took the kids to see Shrek 3 they really like it...Kylor laughed at parts and Orion was pretty good he stayed with us the whole time. Friday, Steve and I saw Pirates of the Carribean it was good.
Steve sprained his ankle about 3 wks ago while running it's still bothering him...
Audrey getting so uncomfortable its hard to sleep, so she sleeps when she can. The baby making it hard for her to breath or sit up, it's up in her ribs...
Today, Saturday doesnt feel like we did anything productive...
Steve and the boys went to the beach to run out some energy, those boys seem to never give us a break.
and we are a bunch of cripples here...hehehe!
We still are able to get out and have a good time though.

Wanted to share

Here is a funny picture I took one day when Orion was wearing these turtle googles...He's a funny kid. Yesterday we took our cat Seka to the vet for the 1st time...yeah it's a little late I know, We'll there is no way our cat is going to have kittens, we found out she is really a HE!! HAHAH! How embarassing...we checked trust me, but I guess we missed something obviously..the vet says it happens alot...He have a Joke saying that Seka is Seka-ko now...hehehe...we changed the coller from purple to blue.
Lately we have been thinking about this Germany trip for the baby...we had a meeting with woman who have had experiences here,germany,states..etc. There were two woman who deleivered in Angra on the island they had good experiences...we are trying to weigh the plus and negatives about me leaving...It's a very hard decision, but this week we are leaning towards staying due to many reasons...We are getting lots of questions answered too. This pregnancy has been a great challange in many ways... I'm anxious about staying due to possible complications and no pain meds... They have a drug here, not potocin that helps woman go fast I guess....is what I have heard...not sure of the drug name....plus a enema is manditory here..very differetn than in the states... Woman I have talked too say they have had good expereiences...I'm sure it will work out fine, Please keep us in your prayers....

Steve the New branch Pres???

We are on a small island....Steve's First time Conducting our branch sacrament meeting.. Our branch presidency is all off the Island on vacation, The Elders Q. president gone too...Well Steve was the next person down to do it. He did a great job...he feels more comfortable doing that than teaching every other week..It was interesting seeing him sitting on the stand, Orion wanted to sit by him too. Our Branch presidency is getting thin since our Branch Pres is moving in Aug. Then we'll be left with one Counslor, we are really thin as a branch in whole here now that alot of people have moved away. Two families this week will leave and we just gained one this month... Being in a small branch poses lots of chances to serve in many ways. Those families that are moving will be missed...

This weekend we were able to see a Air Force group called "Tops in Blues" they are a singing group that travel to different bases and perform. It was a patriotic concert last night. We got in late 9-11pm the kids liked the lights and the music. Other than that, we did some lawn work and put in some cement tiles in back and cleaned up around the house...nothing too exciting.

The weather is so nice...Summer's here are beautiful. It can get a little breezy but when that sun it out, it's HOT, HOT, HOT!!! That last picture the boys were pretending to have a Pirates of the Caribbean boat, it's really a shade that went to one of the older baby pools...They have an imagination, I thought it was funny!

4th July Celebrations!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Happy 4th of July! We Celebrated here on our little island too! We all had a good time. It was a hot day. They had those big jump on toys set up for the kids Ky and Orion loved them and Audrey danced with the Hula girls on stage, then in the evening time we watched some fireworks. When the fireworks were over we had a hard time keeping Orion with us,
he wanted to keep running and seeing where more fireworks are...HE LOVE IT!!! He talked about fireworks the whole way home.
It was a little bit diffferent being here than in Utah. The past 2 years we were able to go to Hogle Zoo for free, I guess movng here has changed alot for us.
We hope you all had a great Holiday!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Angra Festival

Last minute Steve and I decided to take a ride to Angra for date night. We went to dinner at a hotel resturant "Hotel Beria Mar" it was really nice, they had a live piano player and it was nice and quiet, the food was great too. It was right above the Coast and it had a Balcony that people were eating on, we were seated by the open doors and our food didnt blow away. It's always nice to go to dinner together it happens less than we'd like though.
Angra Festival is a summer thing. They had venders selling things at booths, a few rides, food, food, food, and alot of people. We went through the streets and saw all we thought there was to see. We got a little African drum a vender sold that was from Senegal, Africa. It's hard to beleive we are closer to Africa than America out here. After 11pm is really when the concerts begin. We walked and walked and walked all over Angra we were both really tired of walking after the night was over. We waited for a concert to start was supposed to start at 11, didnt start until 11:45, it was a Brazillian singer ,she sang in English, Spoke to croud in Portuguese though. We had no idea who she was, people didnt even seem to know her either...They have concerts well into the night, we've heard 3am. We'll we got board and left. We hoped to see a Arena Bull fight but we didnt know what time it was at....Next summer we will go to one.

Swimming

Here is a picture of the boys swimming in the pool that Seka got too. I caught her today trying to drink from our new one....Dang Cat.
