Monday

Today was a crazy day, Monday's usually are here. It was non-stop until 2:30 which is when I went and got Kylor and his friends from school. I pick up two other boys in the afternoon, Kylor walks to school with them and their mom in the morning and we take turns taking and picking them up. Kylor is being such a good reader, todays book was "My family" and he can read so good.
Orion, last night also was his first night without a pull-up on, he didn't want one on he wanted his Hot Wheels underwear on and he didn't pee in them either, about 2am he wanted to come into bed with us, I had him go pee and then he didnt wake up until 7 or so. DRY NIGHT!!! It's so great! I'm glad that he's finally done with the accidents, it's been a few days since he's had one. He's becoming so independent YAY! we'll only have one in diapers....
Steve is back on days, He thinks he'll be in the Radar Shop come mid-Oct since they are having more people come to the QA shop... Oh_ we are not extending so we'll be moving Nov 08, we'll let you know where when the times comes...2 yrs on this island is enough for us.
Audrey, Still pregnant, almost 36 wks, no Dr. appointment this week but next week we'll see what's going on depends on if the Dr. checks me or not. Just the regular pregnancy pains to complain about....We are all so excited for Baby Quinn to be born. Kylor is really excited too he tells us alot!
Tonight we'll watch the "Ghost Whisper" Steve and I have really gotten into that show. And since he'll be home we can watch it togther...hahah, yeah the simple things of life I know....

Dr. Appointment

Today had another Dr. Ticheda visit, He's a really nice guy. I'm almost 35 weeks. I'm pretty much packed for the 4 day stay too. That sure seems like a long time, but it's standard here. I'm sure I'll be glad once I get to come home. It was so crouded there today, I didn't realize there were that many pregnant women on this little island, most of course local ones. I have an american friend who is having her 1st baby here, she's due 1 week before me. If it was my first baby I'm sure I would not be staying here, I hope the best for her.
Steve had a speech to give today in class, he chose to do it on Snorkeling, we made it back from the clinic in Angra just in time. It's been pretty hectic with everything going on we have just been rushing around and not seeinig much of each other. This is his last week on Mids to hopefully things can start to go more smoothly...Oh I sold almost 300.00 Tupperware at my party I had last week, yay! get to get some free stuff!

Sunday

Today was a good day! We went to church and it was a nice day. Audrey was feeling good. Those days can be rare, but the past few days have been really good. Audrey taught a lesson on having a Happy Marriage.
When we got home we had a telephone message from a good friend and neighbor from Utah, Conrad he was passing through on his deployment to the Mid East. We invited him over for dinner and had a good couple hours of visiting with him. It was so nice to see him. His family is so great and we miss them alot. They are such good friends, and we have many good memories with them. It's nice we can see him when we passes through, this is the 2nd time this year we have been able to do that this year. Kylor remember's him from Utah and had a great time playing with him.
*****Great News**** as far as Orion and Potty training, today was the first day Orion went all day long with NO accidents, he even Pooped in the toilet!!!!! How exciting is that, pretty exciting if you ask us. He's making alot of effort now, I guess we'll keep doing what we are doing it seems to be working with him !!!!YAY!!!!!!

Potty update.

Orion is a work in process, yesterday he had alot of accidents, I'm not sure how long this process will take. We are still trying, he does better when we are not home with it.
Went to Angra for Lab stuff, blood work done. Driving on the road down there is the biggest pain, it's a crappy highway, I've driven alot here since I get car sick when Steve drives, I tell Steve I'm going to have to drive when I'm in labor down there or I'm going to puke. He says, we'll see about that. It about the Distance of from Layton to SLC, but seems like to St. George even thought it's about a 20 min drive, it's up and down and curvey, and speed limit is 55 so much fun.
I'm having a Tupperware party tonight, we are making homemade salsa....Yummy!

Potty Training

Now that we have Ky in school, We are able to dedicate more time to just Orion so we have really been determined to potty train completely. He's been doing good. We have found that the Cherrios trick actually interested him, something Kylor didn't care for at all. All we can do is take it one day at a time and keep encouraging him...Once he's done, we can enroll him in a preschool here either on base or a portugese one..we'll look into that after his 3rd birthday coming up in Dec.
Steve has been on Mids this month and he's feeling much better, he only was sick for 2 days then it got better. His schedule is really hard since we are on opposite schedules...once this month is over he'll return to the day shift. He got 80% on his speech class test, that he couldnt even study for since he was sick, Good Job Steve!

7th Year Anniversary

Last night we had our date night and saw Transformers, it was a good show! We tried out a new sitter Marcia is her name, she was great, Orion was asleep when we got home and she even did the dishes & cleaned house a little sweet!
Today though....started out pretty crummy! We were so tired this morning & Steve started feeling sick, the same sickness that I had last week. It's a nasty sickness and seems that half of the community here has it. YUCK! Poor Steve...
We went to Kylor's game 9am then at 11am Marcia came over again and watched the kids & Steve and I went to lunch and then to the Basketman and ordered our chest-bench we'll pick it up in March next year...Our plans to go to La Traviata an italian resturaunt in Biscoits put on hold due to how we both were feeling so we just grabbed Subway instead. We got home about 2pm and then just rested the rest of the day. A pretty easy going day for us..trying to let our bodies recover from everything this week. It was nice to spend some alone time together though for our special day. let's hope Steve's sickness doesnt last as long as mine did....No Fun!
It's so neat that we have been married seven years, these past years have been both challenging and happy and we both have grown alot in different ways. We have worked hard to have the marriage and family that we do. We have truely been blessed for all that we have. Here we are adding another member to our family soon. I'm not sure what life would be like if we didnt have the opportunity to have a family and to learn and grow from the challenges that it brings. We are very happy for all that we have been given. Happy Anniverysary to US!
Note: Oh and the pregnancy going good. 33 wks and counting, My Portugese Dr. is Dr. Ticheda, he's really nice & funny he also speaks a little english and he's the Dr. most American's get...I'm glad I have him, though which ever Dr. is on call is going to be my Dr. when I deliver. The hospital is hot inside and it's a very basic hospital nothing fancy, but they seem to do a good enough job. He just measured me and asked questions for my file, how old parents are and blood type and how my other labors went and baby birth weights, One thing that's different here, you pee in a plastic (paper like) cup (no lid) and then walk across the hall way and give it to the nurse. I was warned about this so I was not too suprised, one thing for delivering here is you have to have an open mind, it's definately not like the states where we are really spoiled....WOW! You kind of have to think... "hope for the best expect the worst" ... I'm still planning on having no epidural they are difficult to get here and I've been preparing myself in the ways I can for that. I just pray that things go smoothly and that no complications occur. Last night was the first time I actually think I felt labor pains not braxton hicks, it hurt I couldnt go to sleep until it stopped (my back hurt and I could feel that stretching feeling in front)...My body is preparing itself for sure. The translator asked me if we have packed our bags, I of course am not packed HAHAHA! I have gathered things together though, they don't provide anything for you at the hospital here ...she said be sure to be packed by 34 weeks. Wish us luck & Please keep us in your prayers. I'll write again later.

Labor Day we went to the basketman and picked up the baby moses wicker basket, he made it's so neat, We are going to have the linens made to fit the inside..we'll take pictures once it's completed.
